"COMPAÑEROS" by Andrades Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: óleo sobre madera Dimensions: 100 x 79 cm Year: 2019 Price: $2699.00 USD Status: available Representa a una mujer vestida con su caballo paseando por la orilla del mar. Why collect this work?Horse, woman and shoreline are broken into adjoining facets, so companionship is conveyed through shared pictorial structure as much as through the figures’ physical closeness. The artist describes his practice as figurative and stylistically varied in order to reach a broad public. Here, geometric fragmentation complicates the scene without sacrificing recognition. In the photograph, the horse fills most of the frame, while the woman’s yellow dress and hat form a bright vertical counterweight. Bowed heads and the slack, looping rein suggest quiet coordination, although their exact exchange remains ambiguous.Catalogued as oil on wood, the work carries angular passages across horse, figure, sea and sand, reducing the separation between subjects and setting. The photograph does not establish the painting’s texture or exact colour.Dated 2019 and measuring 100 by 79 cm, “COMPAÑEROS” is a focused example of how a legible coastal narrative can persist even as bodies and landscape are reorganized into a continuous field.
