Why collect this work?A circular field of calligraphic forms shifts from emphatic strokes to minute points, using changing density to make language register as lunar volume. Ali Pasandideh states that he approaches calligraphy as visual poetry rather than writing alone. In this work, letters function less as a passage to decode than as repeated units within a larger image.The photograph shows broad, open forms around the left and lower perimeter, compressed marks across the centre, and stippling toward the upper right. This graded structure gives the circle apparent curvature and supports the catalogue title, The Moon.The documented medium is ink on paper.
