Her face is a book that impatient eyes cannot read. She is a woman from that region stretching between Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran, where a woman carries her identity inscribed on her skin, not in a document or a title. The tattoos that adorn her face speak an ancient language, each symbol carrying deep tribal and spiritual meaning: protection from the evil eye, belonging to the tribe, and a silent declaration of her standing among women. The recurring symbol in its various forms is one of the oldest marks in this tradition, known among some Pashtun and Amazigh tribes as "Al-Dakhal," a tattoo carved into the skin from childhood, bearing witness to everything the woman has lived until her final days. Her eyes are blue like deep water, that color that appears sometimes in the eyes of women from this region, as though it is a trace of civilisations that mingled and intertwined across thousands of years. Her jewellery is inherited wealth, memory hung upon the chest, every piece telling a story. Daughter of Eternity Because she belongs to no single time. She is from eternity, and to eternity she returns.
