However, his true calling emerged as he delved into human portraits. "Through portraits, with their diversity and emotions, I find myself mastering this day by day," he explains. "الوجه البشري سبحان الله يتميز بأنه زي البصمة لكل إنسان," he muses, captivated by the unique fingerprint each face represents.In his practice, Rehama employs a variety of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pencil drawing. Yet, he finds particular affinity with pencil work for its simplicity and expressive potential. "أحاول استخدم تبنيات مختلفة," he says, illustrating his dedication to refining his technique to better portray the 'psychological essence' of his subjects.Over two decades, Rehama’s artistic career has been marked by notable exhibitions across the globe. From his participation in the LOC Language of Color exhibition at Bonn University in 2002 to solo shows at the German Cultural Center in Khartoum and Mashrabya Gallery in Egypt, his work has consistently drawn critical acclaim. His art has not only graced galleries but has also been acknowledged with accolades, such as the Gold Medal at the Karak Art Festival in Jordan in 2007.The breadth of his exhibitions is a testament to his standing in the art world. "We are in a state of constant learning," he asserts, highlighting the perpetual evolution every artist undergoes.Children’s faces, in particular, pose a unique challenge and inspiration for Rehama. "وجوههم خالية للعبدة الجديدة فيها الدنيا أو فيها الزمن أو فيها التجارة فيها الحياة على الإطلاق," he describes with admiration.
