HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan by Elnaz Asgharzadeh Explore Mondoir Collection Medium: Oil on Canvas Dimensions: 184 x 182 cm Year: 2024 Price on request Status: available Why collect this work? The near-square canvas brings the named sitter unusually close, using a slight head tilt and direct gaze to temper monumentality with interpersonal immediacy. The artist profile identifies hyperrealistic oil painting as Asgharzadeh’s preferred approach. Here, precise distinctions among beard, glasses, skin and white cloth concentrate attention on recognition and presence. In the supplied photograph, the face occupies the centre while the dark agal and eyeglass frames create nested contours around the eyes. Indistinct greenery keeps setting subordinate to likeness. The documented oil-on-canvas medium supports gradual tonal modelling and selective definition. The image suggests crisp facial detail against softened surroundings, though it cannot verify surface texture or exact colour.Catalogued at 184 by 182 cm and dated 2024, the painting provides a focused case for considering how enlarged portrait scale can convey public stature while retaining signs of individual expression.
